Hey all - lighter one this week, but definitely a useful one.

A couple practical things to know at the top, one thing that might genuinely help you out, and then a couple local business shoutouts to end on a nicer note.

Let’s get into it.

Starting from the top, an easy one:
Tuesday, March 31 county closures is the big practical heads-up.

This means…

  • Napa County government offices will be closed

  • City of Napa offices will be closed

  • All Napa County Library locations will be closed (also the library’s catalog will also be offline from March 31 through April 6)

So if you were planning to handle county or city business in person, or do a library run, aim for today or Wednesday instead.

The Free Tax Season Lifeline

Here is a very practical one if taxes are still sitting on your to-do list.

Napa Library is hosting free AARP Tax-Aide preparation appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through April 15, 2026. Please note: Appointments require advance registration.

Not the flashiest town note of all time, but definitely one of the more useful ones.

To register please call 707-253-4235 or visit napalibrary.org/taxhelp

A Couple Local Business Shoutouts

Ending on a lighter note and a big thank you to the people providing great services and jobs to our local economy.

Signorello Estate Winery is back.

Shoutout to one of our subscribers who put this on my radar. Signorello Estate has officially reopened after being lost in the 2017 Atlas Peak Fire.

After years of rebuilding, they are back with a brand-new facility and a new golf cart tour experience that lets guests take in the property in a more relaxed, immersive way.

It sounds like the team is genuinely excited to be opening this new chapter with the community that stuck with them through it all, so big shoutout to them.

RIP Heritage Eats. Hello George + Kins

This one is set to open in April and is being described as a “not-so-classic diner” from the Heritage Eats team/family.

They have always felt like a bright spot around town and a team doing genuinely good things for the community, so very happy to shout this one out too.

Sorry for the shorter one - busy weekend.

But hope this made your week a little easier, a little more informed, or at the very least reminded you not to show up to a closed office on Tuesday.

See you Friday.

Callie
