Welcome to the end of a short, chilly, gloomy week.

Not gonna lie, I started feeling really energized yesterday when the sun started poking out. Got me really looking forward to this weekend 😀

So on that bright note here are our Friday Game Plan ideas to liven the mood around here and give you something to look forward to.

Uptown Theatre Goes All-In On Historic Run

Can our poor theatre really take this?

Uptown has an absolutely loaded run right now. They are booked 8 of the next 9 days.

I know the business model for these venues is basically fill up the schedule as much as possible so I get why you stack the calendar. But still - this has to be close to a record for them.

If you’ve been meaning to catch something there, this is a pretty strong sign. Peek at the schedule below - odds are one of these nights will catch your fancy.

And honestly, best of luck to the crew. That’s a lot of turnarounds, and a lot of cleanup.

One Of The Best Views Of The Napa River

Downtown Joe’s outdoor seating has always been solid - you can post up riverside, grab a cheap beer, and see familiar faces come and go.

But they really just leveled it up.

They finally finished the patio, and it looks good. Really good.

They really transformed the stock standard outdoor seating that used to be there with this big grand entrance, space heaters, and a 360 degree bar.

If you haven’t driven by in a minute, it’s worth the little detour. Go enjoy it with a cold one and something greasy in the best way.

One Of The Best “Free Napa Hacks” Nobody Talks About

Want to start off by saying we are super fortunate that we have this ultimate perk provided by public services - and it’s all free.

If you don’t know, our library (and most libraries) provide a service where you can borrow useful things for your home, projects, or really any reason.

I took a look through our’s and it’s kind of like a time machine - Projectors, Blu-ray player. A DVD/VCR combo. A CD/cassette boombox.

Basically an old-school tech day” and honestly… it sounds like kind of an awesome hang.

Host a living room movie night. Dig up old slides. Pretend it’s 2006 for a few hours.

And then of course they have more utilitarian tools, like the kind you only need once in a while so it doesn’t make a ton of sense to buy (like an air compressor)

Next time you’re about to buy something for a one-time project or weekend plan - check here first. Or… you can treat it like a “Costco impulse aisle,” but free and with less regret 😉

Anything I missed? Send it my way and I’ll try to feature it next week.

And seriously. I really appreciate you all who choose to spend a few minutes with me twice a week.

Until Monday,
Callie.
