Hey guys - no foreplay today, got a totally action-packed one.
Hope you had a good week but there is a lot of good stuff going on this weekend, so we’re just going to get right into it.
But first, your Napa Lowdown Trivia for today:
Which Napa County town is the smallest by population?
Turn your pet into a button
The title says it all.
This is a funny little Friday one, but kind of a great one. Napa Library is doing Pet Buttons on Friday, April 10 at 12:00 PM. They describe it as a “wearable keepsake to show off your furry friend and show off your love of pets!”
Saturday is National Pet Day, so make sure you show your special little loved one some extra love.

George + Kin’s is officially opening
This is that new concept from the Heritage Eats crew.
I know I’ve shouted these guys out before, so worth noting: George + Kin’s has its ribbon cutting on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM over at Bel Aire Plaza.
Feels like a nice little stop if you were a fan of the last spot.
I will say - I only saw this on the Chamber of Commerce website and not on their website or socials, so if anyone has stronger intel, let me know.
If Friday Gets Away From You…
If you want to start Saturday feeling a little healthier than you ended Friday, Lululemon is doing in-store yoga over at First Street.

Looks like it runs from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, and while the RSVP link situation was a little weird on my end, the event is definitely listed on the First Street calendar.
A good one if you want an easy little morning reset before the rest of the weekend gets going.

Sunday Farm Open House
I’ve come across this a few times and have been waiting to get it into a Friday Game Plan…

Connolly Ranch is doing a Sunday Farm Open House on April 12, which is basically the kind of thing that lets kids run around, see animals, and generally feel like they did something wholesome with their day. It’s also labeled as a self-guided experience, so it feels a little less formal and less strict.
This seems like a really nice, low-key local thing that is affordable but still a little different from the usual park loop.

Another callout from the previous issue
If you missed it, Sorin is an excellent organization that feels way more about movement, freedom, community, and actually enjoying the game than obsessing over wins, positions, and all the usual intensity that can come with youth sports.

So if that sold you last time - or you just want to see what it is all about - they’ve got a futsal-style session this Sunday, which basically just means it’s more like soccer on a basketball court than on a big grass field or turf setup.

Alright, I know that was a lot of quick hits, but I really thought this weekend had an awesome mix so just wanted to power through them.
And by the way, if you were wondering - the answer to the trivia was Yountville.
As always, enjoy the weekend. It flies by. And let me know what you got into - especially if it’s something I don’t know about and you think the rest of the Lowdown should.
Callie
